General Art provides a glimpse into a vast amount of art techniques including sketching, watercolor, oil paints, sculpture, and other teacher chosen activities. Art history and appreciation are developed through the use of art analysis, application, and fieldtrips. Students learn to replicate styles and techniques used by famous artists while developing their own art skills. This class specializes in teaching beginning art while allowing the advanced artist to add to their portfolio. Beginning artsts learn art vocabulary, use and manipulation of media, and begin developing a portfolio.
