Spanish 2

This course fulfills the California State Standards for the Foreign Language category for high school instruction.  All high school students who have completed Spanish 1 with a grade of “C” or higher may take this class. Two years of the same foreign language must be taken by students planning on attending four-year colleges or universities.

The Spanish 2 class builds from the Spanish 1 class, using the “Realidades” textbook by Prentice-Hall. The emphasis is on learning the past tenses of the language, and also in building proficiency in the spoken language. This year’s oral presentations are more challenging than in Spanish 1, both in time requirements and also in the details required as part of the presentations.
