This year’s Champion Christian Auction was a big hit. The school made over $9,000 because of the hard work everyone put into it. This Auction wouldn’t have been able to be put on if it wasn’t for the hard work of: Karen Boettcher, Wendy Woolsey, Roy and Debbie Geer, Melanie Smith, Debbie Pease, Barry Stein, and John Ballantyne. Many of Champions own students also helped out by serving and being bid runners. Together, Champion parents and students worked hard to get done what needed to get done. Karen Boettcher, the coordinator of this year’s Auction, says, “I’m really happy that the whole thing went well and all the volunteers were awesome. I would be nothing without my team leaders. They were really well organized and made the whole evening come together. I think it was a pretty fun evening and I’m very thankful.”
The leader of the choir is Lee Shawver. CLICK HERE to view the video of one of their concerts.
Spirit Week every year has been the week of the homecoming game. This year the Spirit Week theme were; Monday-Crazy Hair/ Sports Day, Tuesday- Hill Billy Day, Wednesday-TV Day, Thursday- Decade Day, Friday- Spirit Day.Here is some video and pictures from the week.
The Senior Retreat this year was at Redwood Alliance. We spent two days there. The first day that we left we got there and settle in and went down to the “discussion room” where we talked about the class as a whole and how we should become better as a whole. Then we all hung out for a little while and we went back to our cabins and we went to sleep to get ready for our long day ahead of use the next day. The following day, we went down to breakfast and after breakfast we went and meant the guy that was going to do a bunch of team building exercises. The first team building exercise that we did was where we split up into two groups and one person from each group went at a time. That person had to be blind folded and your team had to get the person to the pool noodle and then they had to hit the other blind folded person. This exercise was a bit difficult because there was some trust issues and too many people were talking, but overall they did well (NOT FINISHED TYPING)
Spirit Week precedes our basketball Homecoming Weekend. Each day the classes are challenged to dress up and participate in the daily pep rallies. Here are some of the pictures.
