Homecoming 2008 Report
Homecoming this year was on February 2 and the theme was Winter Wonderland. The ASB reserved the Chico Event Center above the Brickworks downtown. Everything was decorated in pretty blues and silvers! It made the night wonderful, even though it was raining.
The banquet was a scrumptious buffet that was catered by The Italian Guy. The best thing was the Caesar salad, the tri-tip and the fruit. For dessert we had a delicious Chocolate Tiger Pie. One of the favorite parts of the night was the “open bar,” where Shirley Temples were a big hit.
After everyone ate, Miss Rowland and a friend of hers taught everyone how to dance. First she taught us simple steps so we could swing dance, then later she taught us a variety of twists, turns and tricks.
Then she even taught us how to waltz. At first everybody seemed to have two left feet and were running into one another but after a while we all seemed to get the hang of it. It made the night amazing and magical! Learning to dance and interact with each other was the highlight of the evening.
