Start Champion in Seventh Grade!
Champion Christian School is a great place for seventh graders! There are many choices for private Christian education in our area that offer seventh grade. However, no other school offers the same level of educational experience that Champion offers!
Our seventh grade is a true Jr. High experience. The Jr. High years are transitional in nature. These students need the time to move from elementary school to high school in every way. From transferring classrooms to various types of homework, our seventh graders get the chance to learn from different teaching styles in a diverse class schedule.
Classes: In our seventh grade, each of the seven classrooms have a unique learning environment. As with any true junior high experience, our students transfer classes, engage in electives and build meaningful relationships with all of their teachers.
Peer Mentoring: At the beginning of the school year, we pair up each new seventh grader with an outstanding high school student as “buddies.” Since they are all on the same campus, the high school buddy is someone that can be a friend that knows where the lost back packs get stored, what day hot pizza comes to campus and can help make the move to a new school friendly and exciting!
Sports: Our seventh grade also offers a sports program that is the beginning of our fabulous inner-scholastic sports program. Right now, we offer boys and girls basketball and girls volleyball in junior high. Our program is both participatory and competitive by nature. At Champion, a wide variety of athletic skills are on display at the beginning of the season. By the end of the season, we are always competitive in the top tier of our leagues!
Student Government: We have an active student government that starts, naturally, in seventh grade. Those students that would care to run for an office within their class can do so at the beginning of the year. There are a variety of places the students are able to develop their leadership skills.
Opportunities Abound: Here at Champion, there are many extra curricular activities for Jr. High students. Clubs, pep squad, the gospel choir, and the spring play, are just some of the opportunities that are available.
